TM-2070
- Check if communication speed of GP-2000 and the parameter software are the same.
The default setting is 38400 bps.
Refer to the user's manual for details. - Check if the COM port connecting GP-2000 and PC is the same as the COM port of the parameter software side match.
Refer to the user's manual for details. - If you are using a serial converter for USB port when connecting a PC and GP-2000, a driver for the serial converter is required.
For details, please contact the serial converter manufacturer.
We recommend USB-CVRS9H or USB-CVRS9HN manufactured by Sanwa Supply Inc. - Your PC may be secured to prevent externally installed software from running.
Check with your systems department for details. - Connect TM-2070 to GP-2000 before starting the parameter software.
The parameter software will not start unless the optical sensor is connected.
The parameter software acquires information from the optical sensor connected to the GP-2000 at startup. - Use a crossover cable for the RS-232C port.
If a straight cable is used, communication will not be correct and the parameter software will not start. - The parameter software will not start unless the GP-2000 is turned on.
Turn on the GP-2000 power supply.
(Turn the slide switch on the GP-2000 to the ON side.) - You may be trying to boot directly from a CD-ROM or other non-writable media.
Please copy the parameter software to HDD or other writable media before use.
The error indicates that RS-232C communication is not working properly. Please check the following three points.
(1) Is the COM port setting (Port) on GP-2000 Paramset startup screen same as the COM port of PC connected to GP-2000?
(2) Check if the baud rate setting on GP-2000 Paramset startup screen matches the setting of GP-2000 connected to GP-2000?
(3) Is the cable between GP-2000 and PC connected correctly?
Check again by connecting the mini-B port of GP-2000 to the USB port of PC with a cable.
(The camera image cannot be checked by connecting only the RS-232C port.)

The sensor cable may be inserted in the wrong direction.
Please reverse the connection direction and check the operation.
The sensor cable has a part to prevent the cable from being disconnected.
Make sure that the hole and tapped hole are facing the same direction. -
If the sensor cable is not inserted all the way to the end and is about to come loose, the error lamp may blink red.
Check the insertion between the cable part coming from the sensor and the connector installed at the end of the cable, and also check the insertion between the connector and the cable. - There is a possibility that the sensor cable is broken.
Please contact us for details.
Measurement can be made at 60 times/second under APC conditions.
Please check with the recommended serial converter for USB port.

Because the design is not based on the assumption that multiple reflection spots are visible, values may not be displayed correctly when multiple spots are visible.
If multiple spots are in close proximity, the center of gravity of all spots is measured.
If multiple spots are far apart, the center of gravity is measured at the spot with the strongest light.

Two softwares cannot be used at the same time on one COM port. GP-2000 has two COM ports, an RS-232C port and an I/F-2 port. You can use them at the same time by using the RS-232C port. Please refer to the user's manual for details.
- Please turn LD ON in the parameter software. LD can be turned ON/OFF in the parameter setting software.
- Set the LD setting to APC (Auto Power Control) in the parameter software or increase the LD power in the manual setting.
LD can be adjusted using parameter setting software.
Place a mirror, glass, or other mirror-like object that directly reflects light at the laser emission end of the sensor.
Adjust the reflected light so that it returns to the emitting part of the laser.
It is relatively easy to adjust the laser beam by following its trajectory while blocking it with a piece of paper or other object.
It is relatively easy to adjust the laser beam by following its trajectory while blocking it with a piece of paper or other object.
If the distance between the sensor and the object to be measured is greater than the specification value, the measurement range will be narrowed. Install at an appropriate distance and check operation.
This sensor is designed to measure the angle of the object to be measured and does not support external light measurement. However, this does not mean that the measured values are not available, so please use your own confirmation and judgment.
It cannot be used because it may be damaged if it is connected in a different direction from that specified. Although the shape is a USB Type-C connector, it cannot be used because the cable used is not a USB standard cable but a dedicated cable.
Opration is not guaranteed. It is the customer's responsibility to use an commercially available connector.
3m cables are available by special order. However, operation is not guaranteed.
(The optical sensor may work, but we cannot guarantee the measured value due to noise.)

It is not a robot cable. It cannot be supported.
We recommend bending at a distance of at least 20 mm.
The product is based on the optical axis of the on-board ejection beam.
The ejection beam is adjusted with respect to the emitting side of the laser and the side of the sensor housing (the side that is screwed in). Therefore, after rough adjustment using the injection surface and side surfaces as a guide, perform positioning to the origin while checking the actual measured values.

Refer to the figure below for how to connect the NPN type
The voltage on pin 16 drops toward 0V as it is SHORTed to COMMON (GND) in the LD ON (when lit) state. The maximum residual voltage remains at 3V instead of strictly 0V.
Since the LD is OPEN (Hi-Z) with the LD OFF (when the light is off), the voltage on pin 16 rises to 24VDC with a pull-up resistor.

No warranty is provided for use outside the scope of the specifications. However, there are some customers who use 500 mm or so for shafting applications. Geometrically, we have a field of view of +/- 15 minutes at 500 mm.
However, because of the diffraction effect of the injection LD, it cannot be guaranteed that the measurement is feasible.

The numerical format of the serial command differs for each unit as follows.
",%7.2f," // min
",%7.4f," // deg
",%7.1f," // mdeg
",%7.3f," // mrad
",%c,%1ld,%2ld,%2ld," // deg-min-sec
",%c,%3ld,%2ld.%ld," // min-sec
The current format is fixed length, but we recommend the following specifications to our customers because the data length may change due to specification changes such as adding one additional digit to the unit.
(1) Detect the position of the comma “,” before and after the measured value and extract the character string between the comma.
(2) If the extracted string is in C, use the standard library functions atof (for floating point) or atoi(l) (for integer) to convert the string into a numerical value. Please note that the sign is 'P' and 'M' when the unit is deg-min-sec or min-sec. - To check the display units, use command G or G2, and the units are stored in *1.
We are very sorry, but we do not have any figures to provide.
. 1 to 480 = exposure time: 31.746 us to 15.238 ms.
Repeatability is measured at a WD of 50 mm, with the object at rest and near the tilt origin.
Repeatability is the measurement condition indicated for 50 mm WD, but repeatability does not change even if WD is changed.
There are no specific terms of use or restrictions regarding the software.
Commercially available RS-232C cables can be used. Select a crossover cable.
Prepare multiple folders. Each of them can be used by launching and connecting the software. However, COM ports are required for the number of units.
Multiple logger software cannot be activated. To obtain multiple logs, please use general-purpose terminal software (Tera term), etc.
The AC adapter leads for the TM-2070 are as follows

MS-2000 and relay box are not one-to-one. They can be interchanged.
It is a specification that the measured value saturates at +/- 90 minutes. (MF-5550, WT-2600, etc. also saturate at values in the measurement range.)
The measured value within the measurement range is the value before saturation. Therefore, data that is saturated = value that exceeds the specification range.
The chamfer direction can be left or right. However, measurements cannot be taken in the up or down directions (rotated +90 degrees angle or -90 degrees angle from the specified direction).

Modifications are not possible. Please purchase a new one.
The resistors and the operational amplifiers on the board will be damaged, and there will be no analog output (voltage).
However, digital measurement values (RS-232C) will be output.
